Cathy Krubsack
Cathy Krubsack is the founder and president of Lacefield Music. Cathy learned to play the piano as an adult and she believes that anyone who has ever dreamed of playing should have that opportunity. In 1995, Cathy along with her son Steve, opened Lacefield Music in South County. Since, Lacefield Music has grown to three locations in the St. Louis metro area and is an award winning piano and organ retailer. Because of Cathy's passion of bringing music into people's lives regardless of age or previous experience, when you purchase a piano or organ at Lacefield Music you get FREE lessons for the rest of your life .
Cathy's hobbies include: reading motivational books, working out, relaxing by her pool, and spending time with her four children and thirteen grandchildren.
Steve Lacefield
Steve Lacefield is Cathy's oldest son who helped establish Lacefield Music in 1995. Steve started in the piano industry in the Quad Cities at J&B Music. Steve distinguished himself by becoming Lowrey Organ Company's "Teenie Genie Award" recipient in 1995. He currently manages the South County location. Steve is known as "Weebie" in the Lacefield community.
Steve lives with his wife Trudy and their four children Olivia, Noah, Sophia, and Cael in Troy, IL. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of O'Fallon and his hobbies include: watching sports, using Facebook, and water boarding.
Larry Lacefield
Larry Lacefield is the sales manager for our location in Shiloh, IL. Larry's crazy antics and zaniness personify who he is. He is a Worship Leader at Discovery Family Church in Collinsville, IL. Besides playing piano, he also enjoys singing, playing guitar, and writing songs. He teaches beginner adult students to play piano or organ.
Larry is married to his wife Kim, and has three children: Lauren, Logan and Reese. His hobbies include watching UFC, training others mixed martial arts, projecting around the house and talking about his goiter.
Dwayne Hilton
Dwayne Hilton is a partner with Lacefield Music. Dwayne joined Lacefield Music in spring of 1996. He is the official organist for the St. Louis Cardinals, and also plays for Bayless Baptist Church. Dwayne won the prestigious "Best Performance in Group" award for Kawai's Keyboard Academy in San Pedro, CA. You can find him at our South County store and if you ask nicely, he might play you a ballpark tune.
Dwayne is happily married to his wife Jennifer and their three children are Isaiah, Rebekah, and Benjamin. Dwayne lives in Affton and his hobbies include playing the banjo, hiking, and hanging out with his kids.
Carolyn Lacefield Mitchell
Carolyn Lacefield Mitchell is the Comptroller at Lacefield Music. In other words, she counts the beans in our company. Carolyn loves to sing and to "kick it". She lives in Glen Carbon with her husband, Duan and they have three boys- Alijah, Mylan and Keylan. Carolyn has a heart felt passion for Autism and Autism Awareness as her middle son, Mylan, has Autism.
Her hobbies are watching movies, playing with her kids and vacationing.
Howard Kessler
Howard Kessler manages our store in St. Charles he has been with Lacefield Music since 2005. An industry veteran, he cut his teeth in the piano and organ business with Ludwig Aeolian. Howard keeps his residence in Lake St. Louis. Howard is married to Linda and has four children. He loves watching sci-fi action movies and listening to St. Louis Cardinal baseball. Howard loves progressive rock and is quite possibly the pickiest eater you will ever meet. He is affectionately known around here as "How-Weird".
Mike Redenbeaux
Mike is our new Assistant Manager at our Shiloh, IL location. Mike is new in the piano business and he is an excellent singer. He plays piano, guitar, and has a remarkable ear for music. Mike teaches piano and organ classes and loves riding his motorcycle. He and his wife Becky just had a baby boy named Wyatt.
Ty Uphoff
Ty comes to St. Louis by way of Honolulu, HI. Originally from central Illinois, the blue waters of Hawaii were calling Ty, a veteran piano technician and digital piano expert. Wanting to be closer to family he moved to St. Louis earlier this year. Ty is working out of the St. Charles location so make sure to stop by the St. Charles store and introduce yourself.
Ty's full name is Tyrel named after the youngest Sackett brother in Louis L'amour's famous western novel series. Ty's hobbies include spending time with his daughter Amelia, fixing pianos, and watching "The Notebook".

Z
Leigha Hardy is an amazing pianist and musician. Although one of Lacefield Music's newest staff, Leigha brings her unique skill sets to our company. Besides working in sales, with her computer "skillz", she is our website designer and blog director. Leigha is known as "Z" in our company.
Z is our resident movie and music connoisseur and loves to talk about the latest movies. You can always find her on her day off at the movie theater! She is particularly interested in movies that feature the following leading actors: Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Daniel Craig, or Johnny Depp. Z likes to hike and play guitar. Note that Z is single and she lives in south St. Louis city with her cat Cozmo.
